Diana Andrade

Co-Founder & Managing Partner

As the Co-founder and Chief of Social Transformation at Moja, Diana is committed to addressing unique social challenges by leading strategic efforts that drive holistic community transformation. She designs initiatives that empower individuals and foster sustainable progress while building crucial partnerships and ensuring alignment with community needs.

Her journey has spanned six countries, including the USA, Spain and Uganda, where she has championed the causes closest to her heart. Her diverse educational background, including a Master's in International Relations and a Bachelor's in Sociology, complements her career in promoting positive change and human rights.

Diana's professional and personal connection to Sub-Saharan Africa, particularly Uganda, is deeply rooted. While conducting her studies in Northern Uganda, she spearheaded initiatives aimed at mitigating violence against women and children and reducing HIV infection. Her experiences in the region with women who had lived through the ravages of war, left an indelible mark on her commitment to drive positive social change and community empowerment in the region.

Through her role at Moja and her life's work, Diana strives to remain a beacon for social transformation, gender equality, and child protection to ensure that the world becomes a more just and equitable place for all.  Diana is an Ecuadorian and Spanish national and resides in Switzerland with her family.

Nina Abeme-Mezui

Secretary of the Board

Born in Gabon, Nina's pursuit of higher education led her to France in 2003, following her completion of the Baccalauréat. At the University of ISEG in Lyon, she earned a Master's degree in Corporate Finance. This achievement paved the way for her initial career trajectory as a Financial Analyst at Société Générale.

Demonstrating a commitment to both her personal and professional life, Nina took a strategic sabbatical to concentrate on her daughter's education. During this period, she harnessed her entrepreneurial skills to launch an e-commerce platform specializing in environmentally friendly children's hygiene and development products. She successfully sold her venture to a Swiss competitor.

Nina's passion for education led her back to Gabon, where she founded the "Pôle Enfance Wangari Maathai" school. As Founder and CEO, she has been instrumental in shaping the educational landscape in Gabon, emphasizing the importance of quality education and nurturing the next generation of leaders.

In her role at Moja and as a leader in the educational sector, Nina continues to be a pivotal figure in advocating for accessible and transformative education in Africa.

Currently residing in Switzerland with her family, Nina's story is one of inspiring leadership, profound impact, and the continuous pursuit of excellence in both the financial and educational realms.

Raadiya Lüssi

Co-Founder & Managing Partner

As the Co-Founder and Chief Innovation Officer of Moja, Raadiya’s mission is to harness the power of emerging technologies and design innovation to reshape processes, products, and services that elevates the lives of communities across the African continent.

With over a decade's experience in strategic innovation and business development, Raadiya’s expertise is rich, spanning Executive Education, Technology and Financial Services, with a focus on emerging markets in the Middle east, Southern Africa and SouthEast Asia. 

Raadiya holds a Master's degrees in both Business Administration (Hannover) and Design (Zurich) and a Bachelor in Private Law (Cape Town).

Born and raised in Cape Town,  Raadiya has lived and worked in seven countries, including the UAE, Singapore, Germany, United Kingdom and France.

Raadiya serves as an active advisory board member in various domains, including trends and innovation ecosystem design. Her track record includes guiding initiatives that push the boundaries of innovation and advance the interests of African communities. Drawing from her extensive experience, Raadiya remains dedicated to realising Africa’s full potential by positioning Africa firmly on the global map for sustainable business and innovation; because she truly believes that 2 billion people deserve better. 

Raadiya is a Swiss and South African national currently residing in Zurich with her family.

Kennedy Otim

Operations Officer Uganda

As the Operations Officer for MOJA in Uganda, Kennedy plays a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of Moja's dedicated Ugandan Team. His legal background is marked by a specialization in litigation, advocacy, and mediation. 

Kennedy has lent his expertise to Awino, Openy, Nyafono Advocates & Legal Consultants, as well as Children Care Uganda, where he managed administrative matters while championing the organization's legal concerns.

Kennedy graduated from Gulu University with a  Bachelor's Degree in Law, and further honed his skills at the Law Development Centre with a Post Graduate Diploma.

Beyond his professional life, Kennedy has undergone extensive training in children's rights and refugee protection. This experience equips him with an in-depth understanding of rights advocacy and the expertise to deal with issues around forced migration.

What truly sets Kennedy apart is not just his impressive educational achievements, but his genuine dedication to making a difference. He has a warm and compassionate spirit, always striving to give back to his community. 

Kennedy currently lives in Gulu, Uganda with his family.

Maria Zelies

President of the Board

Maria Zelies, a US-Swiss national, is the President of the Board at Moja. Her career as an attorney, marked by a steadfast commitment to justice and women's rights, has had a global reach—from Asia to North America, Europe, the Middle East, and South Africa—leaving a lasting impact in various communities.

Beyond her legal career, Maria is a proactive community advocate, passionately supporting the rights and welfare of marginalized groups.

Her deep connection to Africa, where she actively champions equality and justice initiatives, is especially noteworthy.

Holding a Juris Doctor degree, Maria's expertise extends to environmental, social, and corporate governance, where she employs practical strategies to tackle complex global issues.

Her efforts in promoting economic, gender, and racial equality mirror Moja's mission, highlighting her role as a defender of human rights and advocate for the underserved.

Maria Zelies currently resides in Switzerland, continuing to make a significant impact through her work and advocacy.
